Rain, Resilience, and Raincoats: Spreading Warmth in Bangalore’s Monsoon Blues

This monsoon, Bangalore got more than its fair share of rain. Roads turned to rivers, the sky seemed to be constantly weeping, and those without shelter felt the brunt of every storm. But as the skies poured down, MABP decided to turn the tide with a splash of kindness—and raincoats! On August 31, 2024, our team hit the streets with 30 vibrant raincoats to bring a little dryness and a lot of warmth to those weathering the storms every day.

Brightening Up the Rainy Season

Armed with raincoats and good vibes, our volunteers spread out across Bangalore, finding people who needed that little extra protection. Imagine this: a flash of color, a new layer of comfort, and a simple shield against the downpours—all in the form of a raincoat! Each raincoat handed out meant a moment of relief and, we hope, a reminder to those we met that they're not alone in facing these rough weather days.

Keeping the Warmth Flowing

The raincoat drive was only a beginning. At MABP, we're all about finding ways to make life a little brighter for those who need it, rain or shine. So, while we may not have stopped the monsoons, we like to think we brought a bit of sunshine to Bangalore this season. Keep an eye out for our next adventure in community care—because when we come together, even the rain doesn’t stand a chance!
